We like bikes. We like women who ride bikes. We like photos of women who ride bikes. So does Pamela Palma, a San Francisco-based photographer who's put together a rad calendar of women's bike photos for 2012. Check out the awesome norcal women and place an order. Ordering instructions are on the Flickr page (good old fashioned email and send a check kinda system).


Pamela said to me "there are still too many women who fear riding a bike and I hope this will inspire them to get out and ride."  I share that sentiment.

A picture tells a thousand words, or say I've been told. Velogirls.com is trying to keep our content fresh, new and exciting with the hopes that you'll come back again and again to check out what's up with the Girls in Pink. The best way to do this is to create a community effort, allowing our members to share their Velo Girls experiences through photos.

I'm not the most sophisticated blogger or photographer or person for that matter, but I posted some interesting racer & people photos from the most recent Friday night races at Hellyer Velodrome on a Flickr account so folks can take what they'd like. And I guess I should apologize for the jumble of this blog post. Sheesh! Bad formatting -- sorry! Just look at the pretty pictures, okay?

Friday night racing is a great party this year, thanks to the efforts of Michael Hernandez and Sabine Dukes! I'm heading out to spectate again tonight.

And next week, Velo Girls is sponsoring the races, with an emphasis on women's racing. Our theme is Hellyer Hoedown, so grab your cowboy hat and boots and come on out for a good ole time!
